Remember spending time in those, um, quaint little cottages next to the Beachcomber? You know, the ones with vintage “Cape Cod” beach shack decor and the very well worn paths leading straight to the Club? If you haven’t already heard, they’re gone! In 2007, we replaced those historic landmarks (oh, if only those walls could talk…) with two brand spankin’ new cottages called the Sandbar and ComahCabana. The two identical 20’x 25′ cottages both offer about 1,000 sq. ft. of living space each and both have layouts offering 2 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths, a 2nd floor kitchen/living/dining area and, best of all, large decks facing the Club and the Atlantic Ocean. Each can accommodate up to 6 people max (although we love animals of all kinds, they are not allowed) and, of course, they are both non-smoking.
Amenities include:Outdoor showers, BBQ grills, telephone service, satellite TV and Wi-Fi service, kitchens fully stocked with cooking and eating utensils, one queen bed, 2 single beds, and a double size futon. Linens are not included – please bring your own.
Rates:The cottages are rented from Saturday to Saturday; check-out is before 10 a.m. and check-in is after 2 p.m. (and give us a chance to spiff the place up for you!) The high season (July & August) rates are $2,500-3,000/week while our off-season (May, June, September, and October) rates range from $1,400 and up. (off-season weather is “wicked” nice just in case y’all can’t get here in the Summer). Special Note: Tenants renting this season will be given priority for the renting for the same week next year; however, checks to reserve that week must be received no later than January 1st of the year you wish to rent in order to reserve that week.
Beaches:The cottages are just steps away from Cahoon Hollow Beach (voted “Best Beach on the Outer Cape” – Cape Cod LifeReaders’ Choice Poll) and, of course, the Beachcomber. Cahoon Hollow Beach is one of the most dramatic and beautiful beaches within the Cape Cod National Seashore Park (read more about it HERE) with sand dunes of 80-120′ high and breathtaking views. If you’re willing to venture down the cliff and take a short walk (100 yards or so) you can enjoy your own private beach! White Crest Beach and Newcomb Hollow Beach are only a short walk away should you feel the need to wander. If you are feeling more adventurous, Wellfleet is home to many fresh water ponds and the sunset views from the Bay-side beaches are not to be missed.
